Qualification
  • Students who are recommended as exchange students by sister colleges of Hongik University and who can study in Korean or English( language score is not required)

Application time
  • Study for the 1st semester : Until 30 November in previous year
  • Study for the 2nd semester : Until 31 May in corresponding year
Documents
  • Application for Student Exchange Program
  • Statement of Purpose (self-introduction with a study plan)
  • Recommendation Letter from a faculty of the home institution
  • Official Transcript from the home institution
  • Certificate of Enrollment from the home institution
  • Proof of Financial Ability (original bank account balance certificate issued within 14 days from the date of application)
  • Copy of valid passport 
  • Portfolio in PDF format (Art&Design, Architecture related majors only)

Tuition
  • Exchange students are exempted from tuition.
Credits
  • 2~18 credits for a semester
Scorecard
  • The official transcript will be sent to either the student or their home institution after the completion of the semester.
Lodging
  • School dormitories are first allocated to exchange students.

  • Registration application fee : KRW 100,000 (Nonrefundable)
  • Account for payment : Woori Bank 1005-401-652328 (Hongik University)
  • Tuition :
    • Engineering and artKRW 4,857,000 per semester (based on 10 or more credits)
    • Humanities and social science KRW 3,702,000 per semester (based on 10 or more credits)
    (Tuition may be adjusted depending on the credits of applied courses.)

  • Students who are in the undergraduate courses in overseas colleges and may study in Korean or English
Application time
  • Summer semester : Until 31 May
  • Winter semester : Until 30 November

Tuition and other expenses
  • Registration application fee : KRW 100,000 (Nonrefundable)
  • Account for payment : Woori Bank 1005-401-652328 (Hongik University)
  • Tuition : KRW 80,000 per credit
    • based in 2025, subject to change
Credits
  • Up to 6 credits (face-to-face lessons are necessary.)
