Foreign student supporters

Int’l Students Mentor

Is a 1:1 support program to overall help foreign students with study and everyday life. The student will form a team with a Korean or foreign enrolled student (freshmen excluded) and do activities together for 50 or more hours during the semester. As well as Korean students, int’l students can also give supports as a mentor. Also, a mentor-mentee team may continue their activities next semester too. Mentor students receive volunteer hours and scholarship. The application period is the beginning of every semester and is done through one’s corresponding department office.

Study Tutoring

Study Tutoring

Is a 1:1 tutoring program for students who received academic probation or who have difficulty with their studies. The application method and details of the process are posted to the student notice board or at the Center for Teaching & Learning homepage around the beginning of every semester.

Writing Clinic

Writing Clinic

Writing Clinic is a program for students who have difficulty in writing in Korean. Any enrolled students can participate in this program. With 1:1 help from a professor, int’l students may learn how to properly write sentences and paragraphs in Korean.

Psychological counseling for foreign students

Counseling for Int’l Students

The Student Counseling Center operates a counseling program for int’l students who may go through psychological difficulty during their experience studying abroad. Individual counseling and psychological examinations are regularly available, while other activities like group counseling and workshops announce their schedule through notices every semester.Any enrolled students can participate, and in case visiting in person is difficult, e-mail counseling is also available. All the contents of the counseling are kept strictly confidential.

Counseling with department tutors

Counseling with Academic Advisors

1:1 counseling with academic advisors is a program to support students in academic affairs and school life. Academic advisors are assigned at the beginning of every semester, and the counseling meeting shall be conducted at least once. Through the meetings students can obtain more detailed information regarding classes and the department.
The academic adviser assigned to you can be verified at the department office.

Mentoring Int’l Student for Psychological Support

Is a program where psychological counseling experts provide psychological education and programs, and seniors and juniors of meet 1:1 to participate mentoring to help adapt to school life and improve mental health. Mentors and mentees participate mentoring activities on Korean culture and adaptation to international student life. Coordinator

Coordinator

Every semester, select and replace one international student coordinator for each department of textile art and fashion design or department of visual design major at the Undergraduate ArtUniversity. You guide and support international students in those departments to make sure they understand the contents of their academic studies, guide them to register courses, and organizebasic requirements for each department major.

The Division Counselor

The Division Counselor

It is a 1:1 counseling program held every semester with counseling with Academic Advisors. At the beginning of every semester, Counselors are assigned, and the counseling meeting shall be conducted at least once. Since there are counselors who can speak Chinese, you can counsel more specifically. The counselor assigned to you can be verified at the division office.

Psychological Examination for International Students

Psychological Examination for International Students

We are offering examination related to personality, career, and psychological thing. You can improve your understanding of individuals and get help in the difficulties of studying abroad by conducting 1:1 Chinese and English interpretation counseling with counseling psychologists. Any student can participate, and if it is difficult to visit in person, all contents of the interpretation consultation are confidential. Inquiries and application methods can be found through the notice of the Student Counseling Center.
