With regard to the prevention of Novel
Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and according to the updated University Guidelines for
International Students, Hongik
University has determined to cancel the Inbound Student Orientation, originally
scheduled for February 25.
The Inbound Student Orientation will be
substituted with a written document, a guidebook that will inform you with the
facts; Hongik Academic Schedule, Issuance of Alien Registration Card, Course Registration,
Credit System, Health Examination, On-Campus Housing, and others, in detail.
Office of International Affairs will
provide the inbound students with the written guidebook after February 17
online at http://oia.hongik.ac.kr/html/notice.html.
If any changes in Hongik academic schedule
are made, Office of International Affairs will notify you right away.
Moreover, please make sure that you are
fully aware of the following guidelines for the prevention of Novel Coronavirus
(2019-nCoV).
Starting
from February 4, 0:00AM, all foreigners who have visited, transited, or stayed
in Hubei, China within 14 days, starting on and after January 21, are NOT
allowed to enter Korea.
International
students who have entered or will enter Korea from China MUST SELF-ISOLATE
him/herself for 14 days from the day of arrival. Student’s absence due to
his/her self-isolation will be approved as attendance.
International
students who have entered or will enter Korea from countries other than China are
recommended to self-isolate him/herself for 14 days from the day of arrival.
Student’s absence due to his/her self-isolation will be approved as attendance.
International
students who have entered Korea must call Korea National Institute of Health
(1339) or Mapo-gu Public Health Center (02-3153-9020), and notify the
University administration (undergraduates: 02-320-1043 / graduates:
02-320-1253) if any of the following symptoms are observed.
