PolyU International Summer School 2026 offers students from around the world a wonderful summer exchange experience with credit-bearing subjects and a variety of enrichment activities.

Students can choose to take ONE subject from the 14 subjects. Track options include Chinese Language, Culture and Society, Science, Technology and Creative Design, Innovation, as well as Entrepreneurship and Global Impact. Each subject carries 3 credits with 39 contact hours.

Eligibility

Have completed the first year of university study by the time of commencement of the summer school and with good academic standing.

The medium of instruction of PolyU International Summer School is English. Students are required to have a good command of English to benefit from the Summer School, although no proof of English proficiency is required for students from PolyU Exchange Partners.
Mode of Delivery
-
The International Summer School 2026 will be delivered in face-to-face (f2f) mode. Students MUST apply for and travel to Hong Kong for the study WITH a student visa, which MUST be activated upon arrival.

Enrichment activities (activities in 2025 for reference) and Buddy Programme are available as essential parts of the f2f programme.
Nomination & Application

Nominate your students via the International Summer School 2026 Online Nomination Form.

An online application token will be sent to each nominated student starting from early February 2026.

Students must complete the online application by 10 March 2026.

Fees
The programme fee (including on-campus accommodation throughout the programme period) is COMPLETELY WAIVED for nominated students on an exchange basis. Fee-paying students are also welcome where the exchange balance is not an issue.

The non-refundable administration fee (HK$550) applies to exchange students, which covers visa application, courier service and transcript delivery, etc.

Fees include on-campus accommodation fee and enrichment activity fee and PolyU Summer Discovery (Cultural Workshop & Local Tour) throughout the programme period.

Subject selection will be confirmed by GEO in the admission letter to students.

All fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
Student Visa
The Global Engagement Office (GEO) will assist with the Student Visa Application covering the programme duration in Hong Kong.
