Foreign National Student Intern Program (FNSIP)

 

Open to: All Interested University Students (*Must hold Korean Nationality. Students graduating in or before June 2022 is NOT eligible to apply.)

Position: FAC, GSO, CONS/BUSAN

Opening Date: August 25, 2021

Closing Date: August 31, 2021

FNSIP
The Foreign National Student Intern Program is designed for students who are non-U.S. citizens seeking internships with U.S. Missions abroad. There are no benefits, compensation, or any future employment rights attached to student participation in the FNSIP. However, students gain valuable experience in various areas of foreign policy and management, and possible college credit that your educational institution may decide to award.

*Period of Internship
Working period is not fixed; most interns will start in Late December/Early January. Please discuss your work schedule during your interview with the section. The exact internship period and the hours per week will be arranged between the intern and the section. Interns can work up to 6 months, and a Certificate of Internship will only be issued for those who complete at least 100 hours of the program.

(REQUIRED) FNSIP STATEMENT OF INTEREST – Print your signature on this application if you are sending via email.
(REQUIRED) FNSIP LETTER OF PERMISSION – Please receive signature from a professor or administrative staff and send a SCANNED copy when you are sending via email. 
* (REQUIRED) Transcript
 – Must be in good academic standing. (HWP file not accepted)
 (OPTIONAL) Certificate of Studentship, English Test Score transcript (TOEIC, TOEFL)
